- Shouldn't your description of how sports stars are selling
- their autographs (SPORT, May 15) have appeared in the Business
- section? There is something slightly sleazy about a
- ballplayer's charging for his signature. And as for Joe
- DiMaggio's $30 price tag, say it ain't so, Joe.

- If the majority of fans waiting in line for their favorite
- players' autographs are children, as your writer says, then
- from what I've seen, we are raising a generation of rather
- large, gray-haired and balding kids with age lines on their
- faces.
